Slingersfontein 16 January 1900

The Australian Horse and New South Wales Lancers, part of General French's Cavalry Brigade, suffered casualties while on patrol near Slingersfontein, in the Eastern Cape. On 7 February French took his Cavalry Brigade to Belmont for the purpose of relieving Kimberley.
