Details of service in war: This Regiment was attached to Remington's column from the 2 May 1901 to the 28 April 1902. The regiment took part in opertions in the Eastern Transvaal and the Eastern Orange River County 1901-1902. It took part in several drives in 1901-1902.It also took part in several drives in the early part of 1902; the principal one being Hammersmith Drive, resulting in the capture of 251 prisoners, 2,600 head of cattle and 2,000 horses. The regiment embarked from Capetown on the 4 May 1902 and arived in Sydney 3 June 1902 via Albany, Adelaide and Melbourne en route.
