Details of service in war: April 1901 - April 1902 This 2nd NSW Mounted Rifles were engaged in operations against Boer Generals De La Rey,Kemp,Poteitiers and Vermaas. They served in Western Transvaal under the command of Major General Fetherslonhaugh. They also served in the Eastern Transvaal, they engaged in many night marched resulting in over 1,000 prisoners being captured.
