Details of service in war: This unit the 3rd Imperial Bushman was formed on the 4th May 1901 on the Transvaal at Klerksdorp. Served under Major General Rupert Lord Carrington. The 3rd Imperial Bushman were formed from the NSW Citizens Bushman and the NSW Imperial Bushman. After their service was completed in South Africa this unit arrived back in Australia on the 11th August 1902
