Service and Life Before the Boer War: Born in Denmark, emigrated to Australia 1884 with family, father C S Anderson. He was about 5 years old and lived in Swan Creek, Yangan via Warwick. He grew up on his brothers farm from age 11 and was a drover. He initially joined the 3rd contingent but to hospitalisation missed that and went with the 4 QIB.
