Service and life after the Boer War: Albert was an original member of the B.H.P Band where he worked. Also a member of the Steelworks Band. He was also a prominent A Grade Player of B.H.P and Wickham Cricket Clubs. He suffered ill health for five years before his death. His wife died 08/07/1973. Pat had 3 children, 8 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Frank had 5 children. Other descendants unknown. Veronica had 5 children. Other descendants unknown. Albert's family donated his diary that was written on his journey to South Africa to the Australian War Memorial.
