Service and life after the Boer War: Married Margaret, had children Sara, Mary, Eva and James. Worked as an Engine Driver. He enlisted for WW1 on 11 March 1918 Brisbane. Promoted to Corporal 20 May 1918. Made it to Perth, where he came down with pneumonia. Discharged 14 November 1918 due to Chronic Bronchtis.
