Details of service in war: Took part in operations at Colesberg, Orange River, Bloemfontein to Pretoria, then in Cape Colony until he returned to Aldershot May 1903.

Service and life after the Boer War: Served in the British Regular Army until 1912, then with the Territorials. Returning to the regulars with the rank of Sergeant, he saw operational service in France and Belgium 1916-1918. Discharged on 19 June 1925, he migrated with his family to Western Australia and took up farming. Unfortunately due to WWI gas injuries he died in Perth in 1935 when I was two years of age.
