Service and life after the Boer War: Rejoined the Metropolitan Police Force, Adelaide, took up Soldier Settlement block at Mypolonga, South Australia in 1917 where he spent the rest of his life as an orchardist and with his wife Lillian Kate (nee Beer) had six children.
