Details of service in war: May 1900 - May 1901 in Rhodesia and west Transvaal including capture of de la Rey's convoy and guns at Wildfontein (24 March 1901) with NSWIB. No action was seen with the 3ACH, some were used to escort delegates to the peace conference.
Service and life after the Boer War: Returned with 3ACH on the ill fated Drayton Grange in 1902. After the war was a gardener and nurseryman with the government nursery at Campbelltown and the Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney.
