Service and life after the Boer War: Married Harriet Cordelia Bond 19 Sep 1900 at Burke's Flat near St Arnaud, Victoria. The family moved to Wonthaggi 20 years later and he lived there until he died. He worked as an engine driver, first in St Arnaud, then in the mines at Wonthaggi.
