Service and life after the Boer War: I know there were about 200 Australian born Scots from Victoria who served as remounts for Scottish horse regiments.
He also served in the First World War with the 13th Light Horse. On returning to Australia he led a trouble life and drowned himself at Port Melbourne in the 1920's.
