They were constantly in touch with the enemy, and besides innumerable small skirmishes, mention may be made of operations of the 24 and the 25 May 1901 at Klipfontein and Moorefontein, Mokari Drift, Caledon River, 27 September 1901, Onverwacht Battle 4 January 1902.
