Personal Characteristics: Excellent Horseman Lawyer, A larger than life solicitor who was an excellent leader.
Reasons to go and fight: He was a member of the New South Wales Military Forces before the war. He enlisted on 20 October 1990, aged 25, and had reached the rank of Major by 1898. He wanted to serve and dropped a rank to do so.

Post war Service: Served in the militia until the end of World War 1. President 2nd Miltary District Courts Martial for deserts (Oct 1st 1915) - Commanding Officer Australian Imperial Force Light Horse Training Camp - Menange May 16th 1916.
