Service and life after the Boer War: Enlisted in Australian Naval and Military Expeditionery Force on 15/12/1914 and served in New Guinea. On 21/1/1916 in Brisbane transferred/reenlisted with AIF and was allocated to the Fourth Tunnelling Company. KIA at Ypres whilst serving with 1st Australian Tunnelling Company.
