Details of service in war: One of the 'forty thieves' as the third Lancer reinforcement draft was known, he joined Lancer Squadron north of Bloemfontein en route to Kroonstad in April 1900. Took part in the advance toward Pretoria, then the freeing of Lancer prisoners at Waterval on 10 June, then operations in the eastern Transvaal toward Carolina. Sergeant Morrison was invalided, Australia, arriving on 13 November 1900.
Service and life after the Boer War: No details provided. Died at Woollhara near Sydney in 1923.
